Mechanics do not care and will do the bare minimum Brought in my vehicle due to the tires making a squeaking noise while driving slowly and braking since I will soon be taking trip cross country. Lady at the front said they’d check the breaks and look into the noise to see what’s going on with it. I get a call a few hours later stating that there is no noise and they have no idea what I’m talking about, that they’d driven my car all the way to Tickfall and the Interstate and back (without my permission) to test it. They stated that they’d check it again and I never heard anything back the rest of the day. I show up an hour before closing and still they say that they had looked into it and they could not hear what I’m talking about. Also that my brakes are perfect and look brand new (they haven’t been changed in half a decade and still squeak when braking) As they are pulling my car up I speak with the technician driving it and ask can you hear that noise and he agreed that there was something and that it was likely something with the suspension, but since I had only brought it in for a brake check that that it was a “technicality” and something they were not looking for (when the paper in his hands literally stated squeaking tires) They said I could bring it back again to have them check it all however I highly doubt they’ll do anything to help. They were gaslighting me about the issue and instead of at least giving guidance or reason they ignored the problem entirely and pocketed the money for a brake check. Wasted my money and got no closer to fixing the issue on my vehicle.
Dear Customer, we are sorry you had a disappointing experience with us. We want to assure you that we take your concerns seriously and spoke to your father, Keith about having you come back to our facility to have your issue rechecked free of charge. When we received your vehicle, the initial complaint was "squeaking at slower speeds" which we interpreted that as a braking issue. The employee at the counter approved the brake inspection with you so we focused on the braking system. During every inspection we drive vehicles at interstate and highway speeds to ensure that we can hear any noises, which we did not. The employee you spoke to by your vehicle was an oil technician and not the mechanic who looked at your vehicle, so we do apologize to you about that. If you were to come in and state that you heard the noise to the employee at the desk it would have been handled differently. However "the paper" did not state "squeaking tires" it had squeaking brake noise which is why we approved the brake inspection. After you picked up your vehicle your father, Keith had called us because there was some confusion about your original complaint. The office manager then told him that he can bring the vehicle back free of charge and we apologized for the miscommunication between us and you. Please call us @ 985-662-5083 so we can address your issue further - Owner, Bobby Danford
